Housing Assistance and Basic Human Needs

A minimum of 51% of general funds are dedicated to meeting the most urgent needs of our community. That has translated into initiatives providing interim housing, as well as rental and security deposit assistance to housing insecure families throughout Los Angeles County. With greater investment in entry level housing and employment, we have the potential to effect meaningful changes for our most vulnerable residents.

Corporate Activism

Corporate activism is one of the most underutilized vehicles to advancing social and environmental justice. Do Better Together is developing strategies to use investor activism as a catalyst for meaningful corporate reform. This has the power to change harmful industries from the inside out.

Normalizing Financial Transparency

We encourage corporations and community leaders to normalize voluntary financial disclosures. Financial transparency requires us to assess the ways they are using our resources to effect meaningful change in the areas that matter the most, and address the areas in which we are falling short.
